🎬 20 Fresh K-Dramas on Netflix You Should Watch Part 4, My Personal List!)
Hey hey hey, my chingus, my emotional-support ramen companions, and my fellow 2 AM "just one more episode" survivors! 🍜💫
Welcome back to eternalsoulwriter.com, and yes, I'm back again with another list of K-dramas that hijacked my sleep schedule, made me ugly-cry, laugh out loud, and occasionally throw a pillow at my screen (in the best way possible).
This is Part 4 of my personal Netflix K-Drama recommendations, and if you've been following along, you already know how this goes. No sponsorships, no PR packages, no Netflix gifting me a premium account (sadly 😅). Just me, Carmen, a Romanian girl with a soft spot for Seoul sunsets, dramatic OSTs, and fictional men who give flowers in the rain. You're welcome.
If you're new here and missed my previous lists, go grab a snack and catch up first:

Now, ready for round 4? Because I watched 20 more dramas and I have thoughts. Let's go. 🎬
I Split Them Into Categories (You're Welcome)
Because dumping 20 titles on you with zero structure feels chaotic, even for a drama addict like me, I've sorted them into vibes. Pick your mood, pick your next watch. ☕
1.THE LEGAL EAGLES, Courtrooms, Cases & a Side of Justice
For when you want your romance with a sprinkle of law school drama.
📺 Beyond Bars
Let me start with one I genuinely enjoyed. Beyond Bars follows the kind of legal story that keeps you glued, not because it's flashy, but because it matters. The cases feel real, the stakes feel personal, and there's enough emotional depth to keep you invested episode after episode. It's one of those dramas where you finish and feel like you actually learned something, about the system, about people, about what "justice" really means. Solid watch. I'd recommend it to anyone who loves a drama with purpose.
📺 Pro Bono
Think Beyond Bars, but slightly different flavour. Pro Bono has that same energy of lawyers fighting for people who can't fight for themselves, and I appreciated that about it. It's cool, it's watchable, and it delivers on the "feel-good justice" front without being too heavy. Not the most groundbreaking drama ever made, but genuinely pleasant to watch, the kind of show you put on and feel good about finishing. Clean, decent, recommend.
📺 Idoli
Okay now THIS one surprised me in the best way. Idoli throws you into the glittery, chaotic, sometimes dark world of K-pop idol life, and then layers a legal drama on top of it. The idol's misfortunes turn into a full-blown media case, and watching it unfold is honestly refreshing. What I loved most? The lead lawyer is a woman. Not a male hero swooping in to save the day, a sharp, capable woman handling business. There's even a little chemistry bubbling under the surface, which of course I'm never mad about. Fun, fresh, and different from your typical legal drama.
2.ROMANCE CENTRAL, For the Hopeless Romantics (Like Me)
Grab your tissues, your hot chocolate, and settle in.
📺 Dynamite Kiss
WOW. Just, wow. If chemistry were a currency, the leads in Dynamite Kiss would be billionaires. I loved every second of this one. The tension, the warmth, the way you just feel their connection through the screen, it's exactly the kind of romance that makes you want to rewatch just to live in that feeling again. This is the drama you recommend to someone who says "K-dramas aren't for me." Put this on. They'll understand immediately. 💥❤️
📺 Can This Love Be Translated?
This one was different, and I mean that in the most beautiful way. The drama explored not only language barriers, but also the emotional distance that exists between people even when they technically understand each other. It showed that when hearts truly connect, they find a way to communicate beyond words, beyond perfect translations, beyond fear. The story felt genuine, emotional, and quietly profound. It made me think, it made me feel, and it reminded me that love isn’t always about saying the right thing — sometimes it’s simply about being understood. 🌏💬
📺 My Dearest ( historical romance )
Every. Single. Episode. I enjoyed. My Dearest held me from start to finish. It’s emotional, painful, and beautifully written — a story about love surviving through war, trauma, sacrifice, and impossible circumstances. Watching everything they endured together completely broke me at times.
And the ending… him surviving but losing his memory somehow made it even more heartbreaking. I cried so many times watching this drama. 🤍
📺 100 Days My Prince
Ahh, this one! 😍 So romantic, innocent, and wholesome. 100 Days My Prince is the kind of drama that reminds you why you fell in love with K-dramas in the first place. The romance is genuinely sweet, the chemistry is adorable, and the happy ending? Chef’s kiss. Perfect for when you want something cozy, heartwarming, and comforting without getting emotionally destroyed. 🏡🌸
📺 Mad for Each Other
I LAUGHED SO HARD. 😂 This drama is cute, chaotic, funny, and unexpectedly emotional. It follows two neighbours who are both a little broken in their own ways and somehow end up healing each other in the most messy, hilarious way.
If you need something light but still meaningful — something that makes you smile and forget your worries for a while — this is it. It’s warm, endearing, and leaves you with that soft, happy feeling at the end. I genuinely recommend it when you want comfort without heavy angst. 💛
📺 See You in My 19th Life
Finding your one true love across multiple lifetimes… how could I not love this? The concept alone is enough to make a hopeless romantic completely melt.
What I found most captivating is the idea that some connections are so strong they carry through time — that even when memories fade, something in the heart still remembers. It’s emotional, comforting, and beautifully bittersweet, the kind of drama that makes you believe in soulmates… or start wanting to. 💫
📺 Run On
Run On has a gentle, grounding quality that I really appreciated. It’s easy to watch, but not in a forgettable way — more like everything flows naturally, quietly, and realistically. The characters feel human, the emotional layers are subtle but meaningful, and the pacing gives you space to actually connect with them.
It’s a simple, sincere romance that doesn’t rely on big twists or dramatic chaos. Just two people slowly learning each other — and sometimes, that’s more than enough. ❤️
📺 Still Shining
A quiet summer in a high school library brings together two teens carrying heavy personal struggles. What starts as comfort slowly turns into something deeper, until life pulls them apart.
Ten years later, they meet again — changed, grown, and carrying different versions of themselves. The question becomes whether what they once had can still survive time, change, and adulthood.
It’s a soft, emotional romance about timing, healing, and second chances. 🤍
3.FANTASY & SUPERNATURAL, Because Reality Is Overrated
For when you want your drama with a side of magic, foxes, or ghosts.
📺 Cashero (With Superpowers)
A superhero K-drama with a really fun twist — the main character has super strength, but his powers come with a price: money. The more money he has (and uses), the stronger he becomes.
It’s a playful, entertaining concept that doesn’t take itself too seriously, which makes it super easy and fun to watch. Action, humor, and a slightly chaotic superhero world all blend together in a really engaging way.
Honestly, I just enjoyed the energy of it — the kind of drama that keeps you smiling and wishing there was more of it. 🦸♂️
📺 Phantom Lawyer
Okay, this one genuinely delighted me. A lawyer. Who can see and communicate with ghosts. Who helps them resolve their unfinished earthly business, including legal cases. HOW COOL IS THAT? 👻 The concept is so creative and the execution is really fun. There's a moment where he gets fully possessed and I was living for every second of it. It's funny, it's unique, and it brings something genuinely fresh to both the legal drama and fantasy genres. Highly recommend if you want something original.
📺 No Tail to Tell
Hmm. Yes and no, honestly. 🦊 I'll be real with you, this one was okay. It had its fun moments and the fantasy setup is interesting, but the key "hot" scenes felt a bit too staged, and the chemistry between the leads felt slightly... off? Like the ingredients were there, but the dish didn't quite come together the way I hoped. I watched it, I didn't hate it, but I wasn't glued to my screen either. If you're a fantasy fan and you're not too fussy about the romance, you'll probably enjoy it fine. Just don't go in expecting sparks to fly.
📺 Tale of the Nine Tailed
Now this one is similar in premise to No Tail to Tell, both involve fox mythology, but Tale of Nine Tailed goes further. There's a snake, there's more action, more world-building, and a wider cast of supernatural elements at play. It kept me more engaged, honestly. BUT, same note as before, the chemistry between the couple felt a bit off to me. Maybe I've been spoiled by dramas where you can feel the connection radiating through the screen, and when it's not there, I notice it. Still, as a fantasy drama with solid plot? It's worth a watch. 🐍🦊
4.CROSS-CULTURAL LOVE, When Two Worlds Collide
📺 Gimbap and Onigiri
This one isn’t your typical romance — it’s a soft, cross-cultural story between a Korean animation student in Japan and a local part-time worker. What starts as everyday interactions slowly turns into something warm and comforting, with food playing a beautiful role in bringing them closer.
It’s sweet, quiet, and really heartfelt, showing how two people from different worlds can still find emotional connection in simple, ordinary moments.
I’ll be honest though… I didn’t love the ending 😅 But the journey felt genuinely warm and refreshing, and I really enjoyed the calm, comforting atmosphere throughout. 💛
5.THOUGHT-PROVOKING, Heavy Themes, But Worth It
A gentle warning where needed, your emotional health matters.
📺 Tomorrow
This drama is important. But I want to draw a clear line before I talk about it: if you're currently dealing with depression, suicidal thoughts, or emotional distress, please be mindful before watching this one. It handles these themes directly and unflinchingly.
Tomorrow shows the darkest corners of human pain, the stress, the hopelessness, the moments when life feels unbearable. In the drama, people are saved through an app and a dedicated agent who fights to bring them back from the edge. It's a deeply moving, thought-provoking story about human fragility and the importance of connection. For those in a good headspace who want to understand these struggles, it's a powerful, important watch. Just be gentle with yourself. 💙
📺 The Art of Sarah
After seeing her shine in Mr. Queen, I knew she had incredible range — and this role just reinforces that. This is a psychological, layered story where identity, secrets, and deception blur in a way that keeps you constantly guessing.
By the end, you’re left questioning everything you thought you understood — who was who, what was real, and what was performance. It’s the kind of drama that keeps your mind working long after it ends.
Perfect for fans of psychological stories full of twists and ambiguity.🎭
6.EPIC & THEATRICAL, Big Stories, Big Casts, Big Feelings
📺 The Last Empress
So. Many. Episodes. 😅 But honestly? The storyline earns them. The Last Empress takes place in a fictional modern monarchy — and I never get tired of this kind of setting.
The plot is packed with twists that keep you hooked episode after episode. It’s dramatic, intense, and completely over-the-top in the best way. That said, some of the acting can feel a bit theatrical at times — like you’re very aware you’re watching a performance rather than real life.
But honestly, the storyline is so addictive and unpredictable that it keeps pulling you back in. And spotting familiar faces from other dramas made it feel like a chaotic little reunion.
If you lean into the drama of it all, it’s definitely worth the ride. 👑
The One I Dropped (No Shame)
📺 Undercover Miss Hong
Okay. Honesty hour. I dropped this one after episode 8 and I have zero regrets. 😬 It's not aggressively bad, there are some fun moments, and I can see the intention behind it, but something was just... missing. I couldn't put my finger on it exactly. Zero chemistry between the leads, the plot wasn't pulling me forward, and after episode 8 I realized I was watching out of obligation rather than desire. Life is too short and the Netflix queue is too long. I said what I said. You might enjoy it more than I did, genuinely, go try it, but for me, it was a drop. 🏃♀️
Final Thoughts
And that's a wrap on my Part 4 K-Drama list! Twenty dramas, zero Netflix sponsorship, and approximately zero regrets (except Undercover Miss Hong, we don't talk about that 😂).
As always, what I loved, you might not. What bored me might become your new favourite. That's the beauty of it. These are my genuine, honest, unfiltered impressions and I hope at least a few of these find their way onto your watchlist.
Which one are you watching next? Have you already seen any of these? Did you like No Tail to Tell more than I did? (Please tell me if I missed something 😭)
Until next time, chingus. Stay cozy, stay dramatic, and always, always, pick the drama that makes your heart feel something. 🍜💕
