My 38th Birthday in the Countryside: A Purple & White Celebration + 12 Amazon Finds That Made It Special
A Celebration, A Reflection, A Thank You
This past weekend, I celebrated my 38th birthday. While it wasn’t the most extravagant party ever, it turned out to be one of the most meaningful. Sometimes joy hides in simplicity, and that’s exactly what I found tucked away in the Romanian countryside—surrounded by trees, sun, music, and family.
But before I get into the party details, I need to rewind a bit…
The Story So Far: 2 Years in the Making
These past two years have changed me in ways I never expected. It all started in 2023, when I felt completely lost—mentally, emotionally, financially. Something inside me refused to give up. I didn’t have a big plan, no step-by-step script—just a strong feeling that I needed to do something to pull myself out of the darkness.
That something? I built my website—eternalsoulwriter. My digital sanctuary. My outlet. A space where I could share freely, create boldly, and heal privately. It wasn’t just a website; it was the start of me taking my healing seriously.
Back then, I managed to attend 10 therapy sessions over about three months. I was paying out of my own pocket, and between the cost of therapy and medication, it eventually became too much. So I had to stop. But that didn’t mean I gave up on healing—I kept going through reading, journaling, and creating.
Later, I started my Amazon KDP journey, pouring my soul into guides, planners, and coloring/activity books for children. One of my first books was Eternal Soulmates – A Guide to Cultivate Profound Connections, and my latest is The Ultimate Amazon Influencer Guide. The income hasn’t exactly been steady, but the projects kept me grounded and gave me purpose.
That work eventually led me to the Amazon Influencer Program—where I’m still active today. I share product recommendations, film videos, create content, and yes, make a little income. It’s not much, but it’s mine. Something I’ve built, step by step, even when life felt like it was crumbling.
Living in Romania has its limitations when it comes to online work, but I’m no quitter. I hustle daily—applying for jobs, building content, showing up. Even on days when I’m mentally drained, emotionally burnt out, and questioning everything. Especially now, as I prepare to start therapy again this August—this time, through free sessions with a different psychologist.
Because yes, anxiety is very real for me. So is the pressure—social, financial, emotional. I wouldn’t call it full-on depression, but some days it comes close. I get tired. I feel alone. But I keep going.
There are days I feel invisible. Moments when I wonder if all this effort will lead anywhere. But deep down, I believe it will. I believe this path—hard, lonely, and unpredictable—was given to me by God. Maybe I chose it long before I even knew it. Maybe it’s part of something bigger.
I know what it’s like to be judged for not being “successful” yet. People see your calm, your effort, your creativity—and still label you lazy. What they don’t see are the nights you cry silently, the mornings you push yourself despite feeling empty. I’m not perfect. I’m healing. I’m trying. And that is enough.
I’ve been single for nearly five years. I have a lifelong hearing disability. I’ve lived through trauma. And yet—here I am. Choosing hope. Choosing creativity. Choosing to believe something good is coming.
How It All Went Down: The Birthday Breakdown
My actual birthday was on Friday, but we headed to the countryside Saturday evening. When we arrived, we had BBQ, listened to K-pop, played cards, danced, and enjoyed food, cake, and drinks. It was a simple but joyful celebration.
My parents hosted us in their cozy wooden gazebo—the heart of the evening—shaded, peaceful, and perfect for laying out all the food. The BBQ was handled by both my sisters’ boyfriends and my dad, and they nailed it. The food, cake, drinks, and snacks were all budget-friendly but delicious.
The Setup
Sunday morning, I woke up ready to set up my birthday decorations. I struggled a bit on my own, but my mom came to help, and my dad even fixed one of the big balloons that had popped. I had a moment where frustration crept in—thinking, Why does something always go wrong? Is it even worth the effort for just some pictures? But I took a deep breath, calmed myself, and carried on with what I had.
Nothing turned out exactly how I had imagined, but it came close. The kids helped take pictures and short clips. My cousin’s tree swing became the perfect spot for a little birthday magic. I decorated it with lamp lanterns, balloons, a birthday banner, tulle around the ropes, and other details.
With my outfit on, I felt like a true fairy. It was festive, fun, and definitely photo-worthy—imperfect but beautiful in its own way.
Below you have some of my pictures , aren't they looking fun , vivid and amazing ?

A Real Moment in Time
In the middle of all the laughter, music, and clinking glasses, I had these quiet little pauses. You know that feeling—when you’re smiling on the outside, but your mind still drifts? I caught myself wondering, “How will this year end?” Eight months have already slipped by, and it’s been nothing short of a rollercoaster.
Yet, in that moment, the uncertainty didn’t win. Yes, I’m still job hunting. Yes, I’m still building my side hustle and wrestling with burnout. But I also made it here—standing in the middle of my own life, smiling for real. I danced with my sisters and nieces. I let the music shake off some of the weight I’ve been carrying. I looked around at the faces who love me, and I felt a spark of gratitude.
38 might not come wrapped in glitter or fireworks. But to me? It looks like healing. It looks like rebuilding. It looks like courage.
And honestly? The little touches made it even more special. From the outfit that made me feel like a fairy to the lanterns and balloons that lit up the swing—these details turned a simple countryside weekend into something truly magical.
So, here they are—the exact (and affordable!) Amazon finds that helped bring my vision to life. I’m sharing them with affiliate links, so if something catches your eye, feel free to grab it and sprinkle a little magic on your own celebrations.
